Kalshi vs PredictIt vs Polymarket: which political market is best?
The original political market against the two giants. Limits, fees and which to use for the 2026 midterms.
Short answer: For most people trading the 2026 midterms, Kalshi or Polymarket is the better choice: bigger markets, tighter prices and welcome offers. PredictIt, the original US political market, now allows up to $3,500 per contract and is still popular with politics fans, but its fee structure has historically been higher. All three operate legally in the US.

Frequently asked questions
Is PredictIt still open?
Yes. PredictIt operates in the US under CFTC approval, with a $3,500 limit per contract position.
Why do the same election markets have different prices on PredictIt and Kalshi?
Different users, fees and limits. Price gaps between platforms are common, but fees and withdrawal costs often make them smaller than they look.
